During the 1980’s, Patty conductedresearchonElephantManagementinCaptivity,fromwhichthepublished
resultsbroughtinternationalrespectandrecognitiontotheAbileneZoologicalGardens ElephantProgram. She researched,developedandproducedanelephantankuswhichbecameastandard elephanttrainingtooloftheAbileneZoologicalGardens and of elephanttrainers nationally / internationally.
Through the 1990’s, Patty servedasaneffectiveleaderandcoordinatorforafederalnonprofitorganization, TheAfricanElephantResearchandSurvival
Ranch, Inc.(A.E.R.S.R.). She pursued publicawarenessontheplightoftheAfricanElephantthroughlecturestoschools,civicand
professionalorganizationsandtelevisionprograms; organizedvolunteers; and wroteliterature
presentingtheobjectives,purpose,goals,anddevelopmentplan for an elephant facility between View and Merkel, Texas.
Patty researchedanddesigned
the elephantfacility, performedelephantresearch,andpursuedgrants,sponsors, andmembershipsfortheorganization.
In 1999,
Patty received a RecyclingAwardfromtheCityofAbilene/AbileneCleanandProud,for
implementingandorganizingarecyclingprogramforlocalbusinesses, which saved hundreds of
dollars in waste disposal fees.
From 2002 -2004, Patty was instrumentalin thereorganizationoftheHazardousWasteProgramfortheAbileneRecycling Center,tomeetcompliancewithapplicablestateandfederallaws.
Since September 1, 2004, Patty has served as a Senior
Environmental Investigator for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
(TCEQ).
Patty
Stowbridge-Gough is also a writer / artist, and recently published a children’s
book, Gavin's Garden, as an attempt to awaken children to the
phenomena of nature, and the rewards of hard work, fortitude, courage, and
self-reliance. Gavin’s Garden is a real place Patty is developing,

Bend, Oregon.Tom brings his expertise
to the current log house project in Texas, which includes his own designs in
AutoCAD and all construction through to
